School Closings

Inclement Weather Policy

The following plan will be used when severe inclement weather occurs. An official announcement will be made by the Superintendent of Schools if school will be closed.  Please sign up for Panther Alerts to have important information sent via email or text sent directly to your mobile phone.

Listed are the TV stations that will be contacted when schools are closed:

KSHB - Channel 41

KMBC - Channel 9

KCTV - Channel 5

WDAF - Channel 4

In the unlikely event extreme weather ever prevents our buses from transporting your child home your students will be kept at their prospective buildings for you to pick up. You will be contacted by telephone if your child is at the building and our plans will be coordinated with you.
