The counseling department at Paola High School is developing a job shadowing component to strengthen our career counseling program, and we need your help.
We are looking for day or half-day experiences that will allow a student to “get a feel”
for what a certain career may be like. We also understand that some positions involve privacy laws which may mean the job shadow will be conducted in a nontraditional manner.
Our goal is to help students develop a career plan before they graduate, knowing full well that the plan may change as their post-secondary experience evolves. Our focus is to help them explore opportunities, and we believe job shadowing is important to that process.
